MONROE, Mich. – Ceramic sculptures by Therese O’Halloran, assistant professor of art, and graphite, charcoal and pastel drawings by David Hile, adjunct instructor of art, will be featured in a fine arts exhibition at the IHM Motherhouse in Monroe from Sept. 18-Oct. 28.
An opening reception for the exhibit will be held on Sept. 18 from 5:30-7 p.m.
Both the exhibit and the opening reception are free and open to the public. The exhibit hours are 10:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.
This is the first time the two MCCC instructors will be exhibiting together. Most works will be available for purchase.
O’Halloran grew up in Ireland, and her ceramic sculptures were inspired by her childhood. Hile strives to make his work universally appealing, highlighting the dignity of humanity and a unity with the creatures with whom we share this planet.
The IHM Motherhouse is located at 610 W. Elm Ave in Monroe.
