Monroe County Community College (the College) is accepting sealed bids for a Farm Land Lease, located at 12189 Dixon Rd. in Dundee Township (approximately 93.5 acres), in accordance with the accompanying specifications.

1 Year Lease – 2019 Crop Year – January 1, 2019 to December 31, 2019

INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS

Sealed bids will be received and publicly read aloud in Room A-153 of the Audrey Warrick Student Services/Administration Building, Monroe County Community College, 1555 S. Raisinville Rd., Monroe, MI 48161, at 3:00 P.M. on November 16, 2018.

Bids received after 3:00 P.M. on November 16, 2018 will not be accepted and will be returned unopened. Faxed bids will not be accepted.

Bid is for a one-year lease with crop year as noted above. Minimum lump sum bid for one year is $13,500.

High bidder is required to pay $1,000 upon execution of contract. Balance is due before December 31, 2019.

Insurance must be provided by the operator in the following specified amounts.

    Indemnification Insurance

        Commercial General and Umbrella Liability Insurance with a limit not less than $1,000,000.

        Automobile and Umbrella Liability Insurance with a limit not less than $1,000,000.

        Workers Compensation Insurance with a limit not less than $1,000,000.

Commercial Property Insurance in an amount equal to the full estimated replacement costs of the property insured.

The College reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to make selections which are in the best interest of the College.
