MONROE, Mich. – The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Chad L. Stoner Medical Research Scholarship to Jaime Swihart. The $1,500 scholarship may be used for tuition, fees and books.
Swihart of Monroe is a 2013 graduate of Iowa City West High School. She is majoring in liberal arts and pre-nursing at MCCC, where she is also a member of the Writing Fellows Club at MCCC. She is the daughter of Paul and Brenda Swihart.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must have a minimum GPA of 3.2 and submit a one-page essay outlining the reason for his or her interest in medical research and ultimate career goals. To maintain the scholarship, a student must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours and have a 3.0 GPA.
