MONROE, Mich. – The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Marilyn Schroeder Memorial Scholarship to Kayla Maddox. The $1,000 scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees and books.
Maddox, of Lambertville is a 2014 graduate of high school, and is pursuing an Associate’s Degree of liberal arts, pre nursing at MCCC. She is a Senior Writing Fellow for the MCCC Writing Fellow Program. She is also a secretary and instructor for the volunteer organization Community Emergency Response Team. She is the daughter of Joshua and April Maddox.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be enrolled in a health occupation program or a health-related science curriculum, must have earned 30 credit hours or more toward their degree, must maintain a full-time enrollment status of 12 credit hours or more, must have a 2.8 GPA or higher and must maintain active membership in a recognized College organization or activity during the scholarship year.
