MONROE, Mich. – The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Pfc. Dennis J. Miller Jr. Memorial Scholarship to Jordan Stumpmier. The scholarship of $1,000 is to be used for tuition, fees and books.
Stumpmier, of Newport, is a 2016 graduate of Airport high School and is pursuing an Associate of Science Degree at MCCC. She has been involved with the National Honor Society and Upward Bound. She is the daughter of Tiera Stoner and Larry Roberts.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be majoring in history and/or planning to teach history and co-op/intern at any organization or institution in Monroe County that provides history education or historic preservation. Additionally, a student must maintain a 3.0 GPA and a three-quarter time enrollment status of nine credit hours or more.
