MONROE, Mich. – The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Michael E. Newman Endowed Memorial Scholarship to Blake Wing. The $1,000 scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees, books and supplies.
Wing, of Ottawa Lake, is a 2016 Whiteford High School graduate pursuing a degree in the Welding Technology Program at MCCC. He is the son of Michelle and Ted Wing.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be a member of the Monroe County Community Credit Union, have and maintain a 2.8 GPA or higher during the scholarship year, maintain at least part-time enrollment, defined as six contact hours or more per semester and financial need will be considered.
