MONROE, Mich. – The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Monroe County Exchange Club Scholarship to Katie McHugh, of Monroe. The $1,250 scholarship is to be used for tuition, books, and fees.
McHugh, a 2017 Monroe High School graduate, is pursuing a career in the Registered Nursing Program at MCCC. She is a volunteer at her church’s soup kitchen. She is the daughter of David McHugh, Sr. and Judy McHugh and sister to David and Thomas.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be a resident of Monroe County, and a graduate of Ida High School, Jefferson High School, Monroe High School, or St. Mary Catholic Central High School.
Additional consideration will be given to students with financial need and student participants of the Monroe Exchange Club Junior Exchange Program.
