MONROE, Mich. – The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Terri McConnaughey Scholarship to Allissandra Cousino. The $500 scholarship is to be used for tuition, books, and fees.
Cousino, of Lambertville, is a 2014 graduate of Bedford High School, and is currently working toward her associate’s degree in the teacher paraprofessional program at MCCC. She is part of the Writing Fellows for MCCC's Writing Center and was part of the MCCC Dean's List for the fall 2016 semester and winter 2017 semester. She is the daughter of Patrick and Linda Cousino.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be either a MCCC Writing Fellow or a staff member on The Agora, and be working part-time during their scholarship year, as defined by 15 hours per week. Preference will be given to a non-traditional age female student.
Additionally, a student must have a 3.0 grade point average or higher, and maintain part-time enrollment status of at least six credit hours per semester.
