MONROE, Mich. – The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the JoAnn Naida Nursing Scholarship to Emily Nevel and Corey Rischman. The $1,000 scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees and books.
Nevel, of Monroe, is a 2015 graduate of St. Mary Catholic Central High School and is currently studying Nursing at MCCC. She is a member of the Student Nurses Association at MCCC. She is the daughter of Brian and Lisa Nevel and the sister to Cody Nevel.
Rischman, of Temperance, is a 1998 graduate of Bedford Senior High School and is currently studying Nursing at MCCC. He is a member of the Student Nurse Association at MCCC.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be a second year nursing student enrolled in the Registered Nursing Program, a Monroe County resident and have a 3.3 GPA or higher.
