The Foundation at MCCC Awards the Joyce Hoagland Eby Scholarship

MONROE, Mich. – The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Joyce Hoagland Eby Scholarship to Ashley Henegar and Andrea Rister. The $1,550 scholarship is to be used for tuition, books and fees.

Henegar, of Southgate, is a 2011 graduate of Anderson High School and is enrolled in the Business Program at MCCC. She is the daughter of Starlina Henegar and David Henegar.

Rister, of Flat Rock, is a 1997 graduate of Brethren High School and is enrolled in the nursing program at MCCC. She is a member and volunteer at her child’s schools’ Parent Teacher League and is a member of the Student Nursing Association at MCCC. She is married to James Rister and mother to Kalyn and Khloe.

To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must show financial need and must maintain nine (9) credit hours or more per semester and have a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
