MONROE, Mich. – The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Home Builders Association of Monroe County Scholarship to Michelee Rigdon. The $500 scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees and books.
Rigdon, of Monroe, is a 2004 graduate of Monroe High School and is currently in the Construction Management Program at MCCC. She volunteers at senior homes providing friendship to the elderly. Her parents are Kenneth Rigdon and Rhonda Henhawk.
To be eligible for this scholarship, the recipient must be enrolled in an occupational program of study that is related to the construction trades, must be at least a part-time student at MCCC, defined as six contact hours, a resident of Monroe County, Michigan, a United States citizen and must maintain at least a 3.0 GPA.
