MONROE, Mich. – The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Alec Harwood Memorial Scholarship to Nicholas Kasprzak. The $1,500 scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees, books and supplies.
Kasprzak, of La Salle, is a 2017 graduate of Monroe High School and is pursuing a degree in Graphic Design at MCCC. He has volunteered at MCOP in the food pantry. He is a member of the Welding Club at Monroe High School. He is the son of Stephanie Zorn-Kasprzak and Robert Kasprzak.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be pursuing a degree or certificate in welding technology, be a part-time student, defined as six (6) contact hours per semester, must have a 3.0 GPA, and preference may be given to a Monroe High School, Monroe, Michigan student.
