MONROE, Mich. – The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Education Plus Credit Union Skilled Trades Scholarship to Joseph Salloum. The scholarship of $1,000 is to be used for tuition, fees and books.
Salloum, of Temperance, is a 2000 graduate of Bedford High School and is currently studying Nursing at MCCC. He is a former member of Bedford Township Fire Deparment for 10 years. His parents are Denise Salloum and the late Edmund Salloum and has a son, Kaine Salloum.
To be eligible for this scholarship, the recipient must at least a part-time student at MCCC, defined as six contact hours, a resident of Monroe County, Michigan, a United States citizen, must have a 2.8 GPA, preference given to active duty service members and veterans and financial need will be considered.
