The Foundation at MCCC Awards the Altrusa International of Monroe Scholarship

MONROE, Mich. – The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Altrusa International of Monroe Scholarship to Kayla Wiggins. The $500 scholarship is to be used for tuition, books and fees.

Wiggins, of Temperance, is a 2010 graduate of Assumption High School in Louisville, Kentucky. She is currently studying Nursing at MCCC. She is a member of the Student Nurses Association at MCCC and a student representative. She is the daughter of Kimberly Wiggins, James Wiggins, and James Weiter, and the wife to William Obert.

To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must present financial need, good academic service, past or present community service and reside in Monroe County. Additionally, the applicant must be seeking education in order to return to the workforce.
