Information Sessions Set for September-November
MONROE, Mich. – There is still time for students and community members to join a Study Abroad Program trip to Italy and Greece planned by Monroe County Community College for Spring 2017.
The trip will include stops in Venice, Florence, Assisi, Rome and Sorrento, Italy; the ancient Roman town-city of Pompeii; Patras and Athens, Greece, and the ancient Greek sanctuary of Delphi. The trip will end with a Greek islands cruise.
The deadline for enrolling is November 30.
Those interested in joining the 18-day tour can attend one of six informational meetings this fall:
- September 20 at 7 p.m. in Room 173a of the Warrick Student Services/Administration Building
- September 27at 12:30 p.m. in Room 173a of the Warrick Student Services/Administration Building
- October 5 at 5 p.m. in Room 257 of the La-Z-Boy Center
- October 18 at 7 p.m. in Room 257 of the La-Z-Boy Center
- November 3 at 12:30 p.m. in Room 173a of the Warrick Student Services/Administration Building
- November 16 at 5 p.m. in Room 257 of the La-Z-Boy Center
MCCC faculty members Dr. Joanna Sabo, Dr. Bill McCloskey, Dan Shaw, Edmund LaClair, and Wendy Wysocki will be leading the Study Abroad trip.
Classes to be offered include Global Business Marketplace in Mediterranean Europe, Poetry and Drama, and Comparative Politics.
Students can take one, two or all three of the three-credit courses. Community members who participate in the tour must enroll in at least one of the courses and are welcome to audit the course.
This will be MCCC’s sixth Study Abroad trip. Previous trips took students to Spain, Western Europe, Southeast Asia, Central Europe, Austria, Hungary, Poland and the Czech Republic.
