MONROE, Mich. – Monroe County Community College has awarded the Terri McConnaughey Scholarship to Jared Hehl. The $500 scholarship is to be used for tuition, books, and fees.
Hehl, of Ida, is a 2014 graduate of Ida High School. He plans to major in Criminal Justice at MCCC. He is a Writing Fellow and a community band member at MCCC. He is the son of Mike and Kay Hehl.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be either a MCCC Writing Fellow or a staff member on The Agora, and be working part-time during their scholarship year, as defined by 15 hours per week. Preference will be given to a non-traditional age female student.
Additionally, a student must have a 3.0 grade point average or higher, and maintain part-time enrollment status of at least six credit hours per semester.
