MONROE, Mich. – Monroe County Community College has awarded the Namaste Day Scholarship to Jennifer Jacobs. The $620 scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees, books and supplies.
Jacobs, of Monroe, is a 2010 graduate of Monroe High School is pursuing a Business Administration degree at MCCC. She volunteered at Stepping Stones, the Salvation Army and Stacy’s Sparkles. She is the daughter of Julie Jacobs and Brian Jacobs and is the mother of Dakota Baker.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must express interest in and have a strong history of community service, be at least a part-time student, defined as six (6) billable contact hours per semester at MCCC and agree to speak at the Namaste Day event held on the MCCC campus.
