MONROE, Mich. – Monroe County Community College has awarded the Sarah Augie (Petree) Tedrick Nursing Scholarships to Marie Plumb. The $1,000 scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees, books and supplies.
Plumb, of Newport, is a 2011 graduate of Jefferson High School studying Nursing at MCCC. She is a member of the Student Nurses Association at MCCC. She is the daughter of Michelle and David Plumb, mother to Ryleigh and Paige Willis and fiancé to Adam Willis.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be a second year nursing student enrolled in the Registered Nursing Program, must be a U.S. citizen, preference should be given to a young, single parent and the applicant must submit a 500 word essay discussing why they deserve the scholarship and discussing cardiomyopathy.
