MCCC Awards the Richard & Marjorie Sieb Scholarship

MONROE, Mich. – Monroe County Community College has awarded the Richard and Marjorie Sieb Scholarship to Carla Slamiar. The scholarship is to be used for tuition, books, and fees.

Slamiar, of Temperance, is a 1999 graduate of Bedford High School. She is pursuing a Business Management degree at MCCC. She is the Volunteer and Media Relations Manager at Habitat for Humanity of Monroe and is a member of the Phi Theta Kappa at MCCC. She is a volunteer at Elevate Church, in Kid City and has recently taken on responsibilities in Elevate’s ServeMonroe community outreach program. She is the wife to Daniel and is the mother to Samantha, Alana and Caroline.

To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be a Monroe County resident, an U.S. Citizen and maintain at least part-time enrollment status of six credit hours or more. In addition, the donor prefers to assist a student returning to school after a period of other activities and demonstrates financial need.
