MONROE, Mich. - Monroe County Community College has awarded the Roof Family Scholarship to Victoria Olson. The $7,500 scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees and books.
Olson, of Monroe, is a 2016 Dundee High School graduate and plans to complete her Associate’s Degree in the Nursing Program at MCCC. She has volunteered at the Dundee Veterans Memorial hall working at their fish fries and steak dinners. She is the daughter of Desiree Boyd.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must enroll in an occupational program of study with the intent to complete a program study at MCCC and immediately enter the workforce, must be a full-time student defined as twelve (12) billable contact hours or more, must be a Monroe County, Michigan, resident, graduate from a Monroe County, Michigan, high school and must have a GPA 2.8 or higher. Preference will be given to students who were in the foster care system during high school, and/or graduate from Dundee Community Schools, Dundee, Michigan.
