MONROE, Mich. – Monroe County Community College has awarded the FEDCO Science and Technology Scholarship to Ariel Casto. The $1,000 scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees, books and supplies.
Casto, of Monroe, is a 2012 Orchard Center High School graduate pursuing a degree in Mechanical Design and Mechanical Engineering Technology at MCCC. She is a student assistant for the ASET Division at MCCC. She is married to Jonathan Rectenwal and mother to Alexis Rectenwal.
To be eligible for this scholarship, the recipient must be enrolled in one of the following programs: Industrial Management Technology, Mechanical Design Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or Product and Process Technology class at MCCC, must have a 2.5 GPA or higher and be a Monroe County, Michigan resident. Preference will be given to a Jefferson High School graduate and have financial need.
