MONROE, Mich. – Monroe County Community College has awarded the C. Ernest Read Scholarship to Holly Wing. The $1,100 scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees and books and supplies.
This scholarship was established by the estate of one of the founders of MCCC, C. Ernest Read. Read was actively involved in the early stages of planning the MCCC campus and served on the committee that created the initial guidelines for its development.
Wing of Ottawa Lake is a 2014 graduate of Whiteford High School and is currently studying nursing at MCCC. She is a member of the Monroe County Community College Symphony Band and MCCC’s Student Nurse Association. She is the daughter of Ted and Michelle Wing.
