MONROE, Mich. – Monroe County Community College has awarded the Marvin and Jean Baumann Family Scholarship to Alyssa Short. The $1,000 scholarship is to be used for tuition, books and fees.
Short, of Monroe, is enrolled in the Electronics & Computer Technology Program at MCCC. She is a leader of the Adopt-A-Road program. She is the daughter of Susanne Short and Krieg Short.
The Marvin and Jean Baumann Family Scholarship was established in 2008 and will provide support for a student pursuing a degree in an applied technology or health sciences occupational program at MCCC. The scholarship will be awarded to a student who is a resident of Monroe County, Michigan, have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and must be enrolled for a minimum of six credit hours.
