Monroe County Community College has enriched the lives of thousands of students since its inception in 1964. They have studied together in the Library and hung out on the center mall. They have worked together in the labs of the Life Sciences Building and taken in lectures in the Campbell Learning Resources Center. They’ve made MCCC a home away from home as they reached for their dreams. They understand why this is such a special place. They have lived it. They know the true impact of the personalized attention they were given and the practical experience they gained during their time at MCCC.
And many want to continue to support the college once they are gone. That’s where the MCCC Alumni Association comes into play.
The Alumni Association works collaboratively with the Board of Trustees, The Foundation at MCCC, staff, students and the community in providing support to the mission and educational objectives of Monroe County Community College. It promotes the interests of MCCC, its alumni and the community; organizes social events; aids in the financial endeavors of MCCC and The Foundation at MCCC; advises the college on matters of educational significance, and/or social or cultural events of interest to alumni; keeps alumni in contact with the growth and academic development of the college; helps the college identify those alumni who have made outstanding contributions to their profession, community, science, the arts or other human endeavors; assists in raising and distribute scholarship funds to MCCC students, and so much more.
