The MCCC Alumni Association has created two alumni scholarships. To apply for most scholarships at MCCC, students fill out one MCCC Universal Application for Scholarships.
The MCCC scholarship is for a student who is nominated in writing by one MCCC Alumni Association member in good standing at the time of nomination. The applicant must maintain part-time (6 credit hours per semester) enrollment at MCCC during their scholarship year. An essay discussing why the applicant should be selected to receive this scholarship (including educational and professional goals and other information to help determine financial need) must accompany application.
The Alumni Family Member Scholarship is for a full-time student (enrolled in 12 or more credit hours per semester) who is an immediate relative (child, step-child, or spouse) of an MCCC graduate. Special consideration will be given to relatives of MCCC Alumni Association member in good standing at the time of application. Applicant must be a graduate of a Monroe County high school, a U.S. citizen and a Monroe County, Michigan resident.This must be the only scholarship used for tuition, fees and books at MCCC during current the academic year.
