Next Steps for New Students

  1. Celebrate your acceptance to Monroe County Community College!
  2. Log in to the Husky Portal.
  3. Send us your official transcripts and test scores, if applicable.
  • Please request that any official high school transcripts, official college transcripts and ACT/SAT scores be submitted to the Admissions Office. 
  • High school transcripts and ACT/SAT test scores can be sent to: admissions@monroeccc.edu.
  1. Complete placement testing by contacting the Testing Center at (734) 384-4255.
  2. Select a New Student Orientation and Registration date.  Please note:  These sessions are only for students who have not attended college before or who are graduating in 2024 and have dual enrolled while in high school.  If you are a transfer or returning student, please scroll be down for your next steps.

  3. Get your financial aid in order.

File your FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) online at StudentAid.gov to determine your eligibility for grants, loans, scholarships and work-study.

Transfer Students

  1. Meet with a counselor and register for classes.  Contact the Admissions Office at (734) 384-4104 to schedule an appointment.
  2. Log in & Set up your Brightspace account the day after you register.
  3. Get your financial aid in order.
