Through the State of Michigan's new Community College Guarantee program, Monroe County residents who graduated from high school from the Class of 2023 and beyond may be eligible for the Community College Guarantee, which includes free tuition and fees at MCCC. 
In addition to free tuition and fees, students who qualify for a Federal Pell Grant can receive a $1,000 Michigan Achievement Bonus award.
Residents who reside outside of Monroe County are also eligible to receive the Community College Guarantee to attend MCCC; however, it will cover only up to the cost of in-district tuition.
The Community College Guarantee Program was funded in the state's Fiscal Year 2025 budget and is part of the Michigan Achievement Scholarship program.
