SUPPORT LEADS TO PERSEVERANCE FOR TIFFIANY AND HER FAMILY.
Last summer, just as Tiffiany had started taking classes at MCCC, tragedy struck. Her family, including her husband and young daughter, lost everything in a house fire. Making an already stressful time more challenging, her three-year old daughter was hospitalized more than once. Through the quick action of the MCCC staff and the availability of wraparound services, Tiffiany and her family received immediate support to purchase necessary clothing and self-care items, visited the Heck’s Market Food Pantry and when they were ready, The Foundation assisted with first month’s rent and security deposit for housing for the family. Not only did Tiiffiany persist in her studies and complete the two summer semester classes during this time, this fall she is taking a full course load as she pursues her studies in psychology and the social sciences.
