William H. Braunlich, MCCC President Emeritus Dr. Ronald Campbell and Michael R. Meyer during the dedication of Braunlich Boulevard, named in honor and recognition of the contributions of William J. and William H. Braunlich to Monroe County Community College.

Started by former MCCC trustees William H. Braunlich and Michael R. Meyer, the Braunlich/Meyer Fund will be used in creative and dynamic ways to support LGBTQ+ students at MCCC through four primary initiatives:

  1. Scholarship funding to reduce the cost of a college degree;
  2. Leadership development to prepare students for leadership roles in the workplace and the community;
  3. A mentorship program to provide students with models and scholars that can give them guidance in their academic careers and support them as they face challenges;
  4. Community building organizations and activities at MCCC that foster friendships and a safe, accepting and inclusive environment.

The fund also recognizes that it is impossible to anticipate every need or forecast every opportunity to make a difference. Thus, the leadership of The Foundation at MCCC will be vested with the discretion to use the BRAUNLICH/MEYER Fund in the most meaningful ways and to respond to circumstances as they evolve.

This fund is working toward an endowed level that will provide sustained support in perpetuity. Your gift will help the fund reach that important sustainable level.
