Ellen Patnaude is a Detroit, MI native. She spent 10 years working in the public and nonprofit sectors before building an internationally recognized company supporting individuals and teams in improving everyday interactions. She’s the author of two books, one about the ways in which assumptions damage every type of communication, and the other about the need to remove shame from the elder caregiving conversation.
Ellen is a Workplace Communication Expert, a credentialed Executive Coach, and certified in multiple assessment tools. Her company is certified as an LGBT Business Enterprise, and she serves as a Board member for the Detroit Regional LGBT Chamber of Commerce. She’s active in other local Chambers of Commerce, including serving on the Advisory Board for the Flint & Genesee Chamber. She’s also a volunteer Community Educator with the Alzheimer’s Association of Michigan. Ellen lives in mid-Michigan with her family.
