Dr. Geneva Williams is the CEO and founder of Dr. Geneva Speaks and the creator of The Vibrant Life Blueprint©. Her remarkable career in the United Way, including her time as the organization's first female executive, saw her pioneering innovative, neighborhood-based programs for children, youth, and families and leading successful regional volunteerism campaigns.
Dr. Geneva also led the merger of two United Ways and developed Detroit's Promise with the mayor and auto industry to arrange volunteer and professional commitments to impoverished children. Dr. Geneva attended Harvard Business School and taught at the United Way of America's Academy of Volunteerism.
After a 40+ year career as an award-winning nonprofit leader who raised millions for business and community causes, Dr. Geneva reinvented herself as an entrepreneur, coach, and international speaker. Crain's cites her as one of Detroit's most influential women, as well as a 2022 Notable Nonprofit Leader. NAWBO named her a leading businesswoman, and Urban League honored her with the Distinguished Warrior Award for lifetime achievement.
Dr. Geneva is a Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business Program alum. Michigan's governor appointed Dr. Geneva to serve as the vice chair of the Michigan Women's Commission. She is also a commercial television actress, an eight-time author, and the voice behind the Ignite2Impact podcast on iHeart Radio. Notably, her What's Next FormulaTM is the cornerstone of her company and helps hundreds of high-achieving business owners, nonprofit leaders and executives gain the knowledge, self-confidence, and tools they need to achieve greater personal, professional, and community impact.
Dr. Geneva graduated from Morgan State University and is on the board of Morgan's foundation. She earned a doctorate in educational leadership from Wayne State University and a master's degree from the Bryn Mawr School of Social Work and Research.
