The Applied Science and Engineering Technology (ASET) Division at Monroe County Community College will be conducting X-TECH for the Monroe County Area High Schools for CTE students to explore Professional Trades/Occupational Programs in the fields of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) through engagement in hands-on activities and classroom demonstrations.

A special section on STEM Careers hosted by “Women in Welding” will also be part of the open house. 

The event will be held with an aim to educate young people about career opportunities in technology areas such as Mechanical Design (CAD), Machine Tools/CNC, Green Construction, Welding/Non Destructive Testing, Electrical, Robotics, Nuclear Power, Automotive Technology, and Metrology/Quality Systems. Each program will demonstrate high demand and high wage jobs in their respective areas, including opportunities for non-traditional careers.
