Placement Testing

The Placement test is a series of basic skills assessments in English, reading, and math completed on the computer in the Business Learning Lab (BLL, Room 1).

Call the Whitman Center for scheduled times. We recommend you practice sample questions before taking the test; best site is: www.act.org/compass. For more information on the Placement Test click here.

Advising

After taking the COMPASS, an appointment is scheduled with a counselor to review the Placement test results and plan your class schedule. Students are required to see a counselor before they register for the first time. Call to make an appointment.

Bookstore

There is no longer a Bookstore at the Whitman Center, you will need to pre-order your textbooks for delivery to the Whitman Center for Fall & Winter Semester or use the online Bookstore. Visit the main campus online bookstore.

Career Assessment

Career interest and personality assessments are available at the Center and on-line. Schedule an appointment with a counselor to have your results interpreted and to discuss career options.
