Upward Bound Program at MCCC

Eligibility


Monroe County Community College Upward Bound Program is a federally funded program. Students are selected based on the following criteria established by the U.S. Department of Education:

  1. Student has completed the eighth grade.
  2. Student is/or will be in grade ninth or tenth at Monroe High School, Jefferson High School or Airport High School.
  3. Student is interest in attending a college/university after high school graduation.
  4. The student’s parent or legal guardian(s) has not graduated with a four year degree or     higher from a college/university.
  5. The student’s parent or legal guardian meets program income requirements.  Income requirements are based on the percentage of high income and low income students currently participating in the school’s Upward Bound Program.
