2014 Commencement Ceremony

Important Information about Graduation

Students completing requirements for degrees during the Fall 2013, Winter, Spring or Summer 2014 are eligible and encouraged to participate in the 2014 Commencement Ceremony in May.   Participation is not mandatory.  

Cap, Gown and Tassel

GRADFEST 2014 will be held on March 25 in the Main campus dining area (Building A) from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. and 4 – 7 p.m.  Get everything you need for graduation at this celebration while enjoying entertainment and refreshments!  You will pay for and pick up your cap, gown, tassel and tickets on this day. 

The fee for the cap, gown and tassel is $25.  Additional tassels may be purchased for $5.  If your GPA is 3.500 or higher after the Fall 2013 semester, the college will provide you with an honor cord to signify graduation with honors.  Please come prepared to pay on March 25 by cash, check, money order, VISA, Discover Card or MasterCard.

Commencement and Rehearsal

Commencement is on May 2, 2014 and will be held on main campus in the Welch Health Education Building.  The Commencement Ceremony will begin at 7 p.m.  Rehearsal for ceremony participants will also be held on Friday, May 2, in the Welch Health Education Building at 1:00 p.m.  The rehearsal will last approximately 1 ½ hours, participation is not mandatory.   

Guest Admission Tickets

Tickets for admission will be required for all guests.  Each graduate will receive four tickets.  You will receive your admission tickets when you pick up your cap and gown at GRADFEST 2014.  Due to limited seating, extra tickets will not be available.  If you have tickets you are not going to use, please give them to a fellow graduate. 


Guests will be asked to remain seated during the ceremony.  There will be a professional photographer capturing the moment when each graduate receives his/her diploma.  These photographs will be available for purchase at after the ceremony.  You will be required to complete a photo ID description card prior to the ceremony.  These cards will be available at Grad Fest and Rehearsal.
