COMPASS PLACEMENT TEST

COMPASS is an untimed, computerized assessment test that helps to evaluate your skills in reading, writing and math and is used by MCCC’s counselors to assist in course selection.

The COMPASS test should be taken seriously.  We recommend taking practice tests at one of the following sites before attempting the COMPASS test: Study Helps for the COMPASS Placement Test

The Testing Center will provide a calculator for the math portion of COMPASS. Students who bring a calculator will need to have it approved by the testing proctor. To see more on calculator guidelines for COMPASS testing, you can visit the following website: http://www.act.org/compass/student/calculator.html

COMPASS is offered at two locations:
At the Main Campus, Regional Computer Technology Center (RCTC) W-Building, Room 157
Call: 734-384-4255 to confirm schedule

At the Whitman Center, Business Learning Lab, Room 1
Call: 734-847-0559 to confirm schedule

Upon completion of the COMPASS test, please call 734-384-4104 to schedule an appointment with an academic counselor to review your COMPASS scores.

If you are to re-take the COMPASS test, you will need to present a note from a counselor to the testing proctor that gives you permission to do this.
