MCCC Hosts Women’s History Month Events Series

MONROE, Mich. – Monroe County Community College is hosting an events series in March in honor of Women’s History Month. Below is the schedule of events. All are free and open to the public. 

Monday, March 18 
Presentation: “Women in the Workplace: #MeToo, Equal Pay and the Changing Legal Landscape,” presented by Lynn Luther, Esq.; 1:30-2:30 p.m., Audrey M. Warrick Student Services and Administration Building, Room 173a.

Wednesday, March 27  
Presentation: “Native American Women: Culture and Activities (in conjunction with One Book, One Community of Monroe County),” presented by Jamie Oxendine, Native American author, speaker and education consultant; 1:30-2:30 p.m., Audrey M. Warrick Student Services and Administration Building, Room A-173a.

Friday, March 29  
“Tai Chi for Women,” instructed by Rebecca Rahe, master Tai Chi trainer; 9-10 a.m., Audrey M. Warrick Student Services and Administration Building, Room A-173ab.
