Tickets Available For Culinary Arts Program Lunchtime Buffets

MONROE, Mich. – Tickets are available for a number of Monroe County Community College’s upcoming gourmet lunch buffets, which are prepared by the second-year culinary skills and management program students under the direction of Chef Kevin Thomas and Chef Vicki LaValle.

On Friday, March 15, diners will be treated to an “American Regional” buffet. The second lunchtime buffet, scheduled for Friday, March 22, is entitled “Islands of the World.” The third buffet, “Global Cuisines,” will take place on Friday, April 5.  The final buffet on Friday, April 12 is a “South and Central America” buffet.

Each buffet begins at 11:30 a.m. All will be held in the Dining Room of the Warrick Student Services/Administration Building on MCCC’s Main Campus, which is located at 1555 S. Raisinville Rd. in Monroe. 

Reservations and advance payment are required and can be made by calling the MCCC Ticket Hotline at (734) 384-4272.

Students design and prepare the menus for the buffets, which include something for everyone. Tickets are $20 for each buffet, which includes the cost of drinks, appetizers, charcuterie items, entrees, side dishes and an elaborate pastry display. There is a 2 percent convenience fee for the use of a credit or debit card.
