MONROE, Mich. – Florence M. Buchanan and Krista K. Lambrix were sworn in as trustees of Monroe County Community College Monday evening during a regular meeting of the college’s Board of Trustees.
Buchanan and Lambrix were administered the oath of office by Judge Michael Weipert of Monroe County’s 38th Circuit Court. Both will serve six-year terms.
Buchanan is president and founder of Customer Experience 360, a comprehensive customer experience management consulting services firm in Monroe. Prior to that, she spent nearly 30 years as an executive in the cable/broadband industry, most recently as vice president of competitive marketing for Buckeye Broadband (formerly Buckeye CableSystem) from 2013-2016 and vice president of sales and marketing from 2002-2013. She was general manager of Monroe Cablevision, Inc. from 1990-2002, serving as both executive vice president and general manager for the last three years of her tenure. Buchanan holds a bachelor of science degree in retail management from Pennsylvania State University.
Lambrix, a registered nurse, has been patient care supervisor for the Surgical Services Department at ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital since 2016. She was charge nurse of the hospital’s Post Anesthesia Care Unit in 2015-16 after serving as a staff nurse/nurse educator in that unit from 2006-2015. Prior to that, she was a staff and charge nurse in the Emergency Department for nine years at ProMedica Monroe after beginning her career in 1995 as a staff and charge nurse at Sinai Grace Hospital-Detroit Medical Center. She holds a bachelor of science degree in nursing from Spring Arbor University and an associate of science degree in nursing from Lorain County Community College.
