‘show Me The Money Day’ Financial Resource Fair To Be Held At MCCC

MONROE, Mich. –  Habitat for Hope Financial Coaching, the Michigan State University Extension and Monroe County Community College will host a financial resource fair titled “Show Me the Money Day” on Jan. 31 from 4-7 p.m. in the La-Z-Boy Center.

MCCC is located at 1555 S. Raisinville Rd. in Monroe.

At Show Me the Money Day, attendees will be able to access resources meant to help them reach their money goals.  Financial workshops will be offered on many topics, and attendees can meet with representatives from banks, credit unions and other community organizations. 

The event is free and open to the public.  There will also be free food and prizes.

Show Me the Money Day is a program of the Community Economic Development Association of Michigan.  In 2018, Show Me the Money Day touched 2,450 Michigan residents at 38 events in 30 communities statewide.  More than 500 vendors talked one on one with participants, while community organizations and financial institutions provided nearly 150 financial workshops.  Overall, 72 percent of surveyed participants reported feeling more hopeful about their financial future after attending a Show Me the Money Day event.
