MONROE, Mich. – At its regular meeting last night, the Monroe County Community College Board of Trustees approved a slight tuition increase for students who live in Monroe County, the first such bump since the college froze tuition for residents back in 2016.

The Board also approved Fall Semester tuition rate increases for students who are not residents of Monroe County.

Students living in Michigan, but outside Monroe County, will pay $194.50 per billable contact hour, up $4.50.

Students from out of state and international students will pay $216.50 per hour, up $5.00.

Chair Lynette Dowler, Vice Chair Mary Kay Thayer, Secretary Aaron Mason, and trustees Dr. James DeVries and Steven Hill all voted in favor of the tuition rates motion.  Trustees William Bruck and Marjorie Kreps were absent.
