‘One Book, One Community’ 2018 Book Selection to Be Revealed Sept. 13

MONROE, Mich. – The One Book, One Community of Monroe County Committee will unveil the 2018 book selection for this spring’s community read during a “reveal” event at the Ellis Library and Reference Center on Wednesday, September 13 at 6:30 p.m.

The event is open to the public.  The Ellis Library and Reference Center is located at 3700 South Custer Rd. in Monroe.

The event will include light refreshments; guests will be able to pick up a free reader’s guide, as well as learn how to become a Friend of the One Book, One Community project to promote the joy of reading.

One Book, One Community of Monroe County, modeled after a program developed by the American Library Association, promotes the value of reading by recommending a compelling book that links community members in a common conversation through readings, group discussions, programs and other events.

The reveal event is co-sponsored by Monroe County Community College and the Monroe County Library System.
