Tickets Available for MCCC Culinary Arts Program Buffets

MONROE, Mich. – Tickets are available for a number of Monroe County Community College’s upcoming gourmet buffets, which are prepared by the second-year culinary skills and management program students under the direction of Chef Kevin Thomas and Chef Vicki LaValle.

On Friday, March 10, diners will be treated to a “Latin and South American” buffet.  The second buffet, scheduled for Friday, March 24, is entitled “Wild Game/Seafood Buffet.” The third, a “Tropical Paradise Buffet,” will take place on Friday, March 31.  The final buffet on Friday, April 7 is an evening buffet featuring “Foods of the Great Lakes State” that will be the closing event for One Book, One Community of Monroe County 2017.

Each buffet begins at 11:30 a.m. with the exception of the evening buffet on April 7, which starts at 5 p.m.  All are held in the Dining Room of the Warrick Student Services/Administration Building.  Reservations and advance payment are required and can be made by calling the MCCC Ticket Hotline at (734) 384-4272.

Students design and prepare the menus for the buffets, which include something for everyone and even offer numerous gluten-free items. Tickets are $20 for each buffet, except for the Wild Game/Seafood Buffet, which will cost $25.

Included in the cost of the buffets are drinks, appetizers, salads, charcuterie items, breads, entrees and an elaborate dessert buffet.
