MCCC TO HOST CAMPUS-WIDE EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS WEEK
MONROE, Mich. – Monroe County Community College will host Emergency Preparedness Week for its employees and students beginning Nov. 30.
Sessions during the week will provide important resources and information in the event of a campus emergency.
Students and employees are invited to any of the following one-hour sessions:
- Monday, Nov. 30, at 12:30 and 5 p.m. in the MCCC Dining Hall, which is located in the Warrick Student Services/Administration Building
- Wednesday, Dec. 2 and Thursday, Dec. 3 at 12:30 p.m. in the La-Z-Boy Center, Meyer Theater
At the sessions, a “Shots Fired on Campus” video prepared by the Center for Personal Protection and Safety will be shown, and MCCC Security Office staff will be present to share information and answer questions. In addition, information regarding MCCC’s Emergency Notification System, Violent Threat Management Plan, Emergency Preparedness Plan, emergency warnings, timely warnings and severe weather procedures will be shared.
“While we are unable to prevent emergencies, crises and other unfortunate occurrences that may adversely affect our campus, we can take proactive steps to manage risks and consequences,” said Randy Daniels, vice president of student and information services.
