LA-Z-BOY CENTER TO HOST TRIBUTE TO JIMMY BUFFETT
AND THE CORAL REEFER BAND ON NOV. 13
Pre-party to Include Music, Margaritas and Munchies
MONROE, Mich. – Larry Pearson and his tribute group look and sound strikingly similar to the real Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band.
And it’s highly likely that the hundreds of fans who will attend the Jimmy Buffett tribute show – known as Jimmy Bluffett – on Nov. 13 at Monroe County Community College’s La-Z-Boy Center will be dressed just like fans at a real Jimmy Buffett show, complete with “Parrothead” staples like grass skirts, Hawaiian shirts and fake parrots on their shoulders.
The show begins at 7:30 p.m., but the fun starts way earlier than that. A Bluffett pre-party will be held at 5 p.m. in the atrium of the La-Z-Boy Center, complete with music, margaritas and snacks.
The La-Z-Boy Center is located on MCCC’s Main Campus at 1555 S. Raisinville Rd. in Monroe.
The show will have the conga lines moving with eight amazing performers on stage, all of whom grew up on the Caribbean sounds of Jimmy Buffett. Bluffett will provide a wonderful tribute to the “Beachmaster” himself, as beach-type props and costuming, along Pearson’s vocals, will have audience members convinced they have been transported directly to “Margaritaville.”
Tickets are $25 for reserved seating. VIP tickets are sold out. Tickets can be purchased on the Web at www.monroeccc.edu/theater, in person at the Cashier’s Office in the Warrick Student Services/Administration Building or via phone by calling the MCCC Ticket Hotline at (734) 384-4272. If available, tickets will also be available at the door.
Group rates, rooms and catering are available in conjunction with the concert. For more information, contact Tom Ryder at (7344) 384-4201 or email@example.com.
