The CIS department offers over 40 computer courses including courses in Help Desk, Network Administration, Graphic Design, Web Design, Web Programming, Database Development, Web Administration, PC Support Technician, and programming courses in C++, Visual Basic, Java, JavaScript, ASP.NET, Microsoft SQL, computer gaming, and more.

Beginning Fall 2007 - Two new 2+2 CIS transfer agreements with Eastern Michigan University!

During the 2005-2006 academic year four new CIS courses were added:
CIS187 Digital Video Editing (This course uses Adobe Premiere Pro)
CIS189 3-D Animation (This course uses Maya 8)
CIS216 Introduction to Computer Security
CIS267 Introduction to Game Programming

In Fall 2006, a new course in Linux Operating Systems was added to the CIS curriculum.

Transfer Agreements

• University of Michigan - Dearborn 2+2 transfer degree program. Start your Bachelor Degree at MCCC and finish it at U of M Dearborn.

• Eastern Michigan - two 2+2 transfer degree agreements:
  MCCC AAS in Computer Programming -- EMU BBA in Computer Information Systems
  MCCC AAS in Computer Internet Professional - Web Development -- EMU BBA in Computer Information Systems

• Siena Heights has an excellent articulation agreement with MCCC CIS majors offering a 3 + 1 program where students can complete a Siena Heights Bachelor of Applied Science degree with up to three years of MCCC credit applied to the degree.
