POLITICAL SCIENCE INSTRUCTOR

Teaching variety of Political Science courses including Introduction to Political Science, Introduction to Comparative Politics, State and Local Government, and International Relations. Other responsibilities and duties include participation in Division-wide program and curriculum planning and assessment of student learning outcomes. Minimum qualifications:  Master’s degree in Political Science or Master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in Political Science; Ph. D. in Political Science preferred. Evidenced teaching skill and ability to identify and implement assessment of student learning strategies and practices. Collegiate level teaching experience desired. Experience with the use of technology-mediated, online, and distance-learning techniques desired. Start date January 2, 2018. RESPIRATORY THERAPY INSTRUCTOR

Full-time faculty position teaching in the theory, lab, and clinical settings for the Respiratory Therapy Program, a CoARC accredited program.  Duties include teaching assigned courses and developing/maintaining course content and appropriate instructional materials for the courses assigned.   Qualifications include bachelor’s degree required; bachelor’s or master’s degree in related field preferred. RRT credential – valid, unencumbered respiratory care practitioner license in Michigan required; Ohio license desirable. Four years’ experience as a RRT with at least two years’ in clinical respiratory care; minimum two years’ experience teaching in an accredited respiratory care program, as an appointed faculty member clinical preceptor required. Evidenced teaching skill and ability to identify and implement assessment of student strategies and practices. Base salary $50,571-$62,125, negotiable based on education and experience. HUMANITIES/SOCIOLOGY INSTRUCTORS (PT)

MATHEMATICS INSTRUCTOR (PT)

Part-time adjunct faculty opportunities available in the area of Mathematics at Monroe County Community College, beginning Fall 2017 semester, day/evening classes. Teaching variety of mathematics courses including basic mathematics skills, technical math, beginning and intermediate algebra, statistics, mathematics explorations, mathematics for elementary teachers, college algebra, trigonometry and analytical geometry, pre-calculus, calculus, linear algebra, and differential equations. Minimum qualifications include Master’s degree or 18 graduate hours in mathematical science or its equivalent (for example but not limited to, Pure Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Mathematics Education, Statistics, Theoretical Physics). APPLIED SCIENCES & ENGINEERING TECH
INSTRUCTORS (PT)

Part-time adjunct Instructors needed in the following areas:

  1. Automotive – Auto Service program with NATEF certification G1 and/or any one or more for A1 through A8 areas as defined by ASE/NATEF standards. Additionally looking for instructors in our Auto Engineering program with qualifications in engine testing and performance, emissions, noise/vibration and experience in automotive testing and R&D.
  2. CNC Machining – proficient in CNC machining, both Horizontal and Vertical machining centers (HASS and Fanuc Controls), conventional manual lathe, mill, drill, grinding. Knowledge of MASTERCAM or similar software useful.
  3. Construction Management – background in LEED, Construction Safety, Renewable solar and wind, Scheduling, estimating. Knowledge of BIM software, AutoCAD, scheduling software such as Primavera, MS Project useful.
  4. Welding – proficient with TIG, MIG, Stick, flux core welding techniques, print reading, metallurgy, non-destructive testing methods, UT, MT level 3 certification.

Qualifications include Associate of Science degree and/or Journey person card; Bachelors of Science degree preferred. Work experience in the respective area required. INTRODUCTION TO CIS, MS-OFFICE
INSTRUCTORS (PT)
  
Part-time adjunct faculty opportunities exist in the area of Computer Information Systems to instruct INTRODUCTION TO CIS (Using Win10 and Office 2016), SPREADSHEET SOFTWARE (using EXCEL), DATABASE SOFTWARE (using ACCESS).  Specific course information may be viewed at www.monroeccc.edu/outlines/index.htm).

Minimum qualifications include: Bachelor’s Degree in CIS Discipline with a minimum of 18 Graduate Hours in a CIS/Business/Office discipline.  OR, Bachelor’s Degree in any area with demonstrated skills or Certifications in MS-Office Applications such as MOS certifications.

Preferred Qualifications:  Master’s Degree in Computer Information Systems or related discipline preferred; 2 years related professional experience in the CIS field with specific appropriate skills; teaching experience, preferably in a collegiate setting.

RESPIRATORY THERAPY DIRECTOR

Provides academic leadership for the respiratory therapy programs, faculty and students. Assists in the organization, development, supervision, coordination, and evaluation of the Respiratory Therapy Program.  Qualifications include Master’s degree from an academic institution accredited by a regional or national accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Registered Respiratory Therapy (RRT) credential and current license in the State of Michigan. Applicants must have a minimum of four years’ experience as a RRT with at least two years in clinical respiratory care. Must have a minimum of two years’ experience teaching in an accredited respiratory care program either as an appointed faculty member or as a clinical preceptor. Base salary $71,332, negotiable based on education and experience; full benefit package. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position filled.
