Spring/Summer Financial Aid
IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT SPRING/SUMMER FINANCIAL AID
SPRING/SUMMER FINANCIAL AID CAN BE COMPLICATED. STUDENTS WHO HAVE QUESTIONS REGARDING SPRING/SUMMER FINANCIAL AID SHOULD CONTACT THE FINANCIAL AID OFFICE AT (734) 384-4135.
There is an annual limit on the amount of Pell Grant and Direct Stafford loans a student may receive during the award year. A student’s Spring/Summer financial aid eligibility is contingent upon how much financial aid the student has already received during the Fall and Winter semesters, as well as the number of credit hours the student is enrolled for during the Spring/Summer period.
For financial aid purposes, MCCC awards a student financial aid based on the total number of credit hours the student is enrolled in for both the Spring and Summer semesters.
- Example 1: 3 credits in Spring + 3 credits in Summer = 6 credits total for financial aid (half-time enrollment)
- Example 2: 6 credits in Spring + 0 credits in Summer = 6 credits total for financial aid (half-time enrollment)
- Example 3: 6 credits in Spring + 6 credits in Summer = 12 credits total for financial aid (full-time enrollment)
