Dr. Florence Ames Fine Art Scholarship
Donor: Dr. Florence Ames
Eligibility: Full-time, second-year student with a concentration in art. Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA.
 
William J. and Jennie E. Bacarella Scholarship
Donor: William J. and Jennie E. Bacarella
Eligibility: Part-time (at least 6 credit hours per semester) student majoring in a business-related curriculum. Applicant will be a non-traditional student who is a resident of Monroe County, Michigan. Preference will be given to a St. Mary Catholic Central High School graduate when possible.
 
Marvin and Jean Baumann Family Scholarship
Donor: Mr. and Mrs. Marvin (Jean) Baumann
Eligibility: Part-time (at least 6 credit hours per semester) student pursuing a degree in a "hands-on" career program in an applied technology or in health sciences occupational program.  Recipient must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Financial need may be considered. Recipient must be a resident of Monroe County, Michigan and a United States citizen.
 
Eugene and Helen Beach Culinary Arts Scholarship
Donor:  Mrs. Eugene W. Beach
Eligibility: Culinary Skills and Management student requiring financial assistance. The recipient will be an above average student who demonstrates a high degree of professional integrity.
 
Eugene and Helen Beach Nursing/RT Scholarship
Donor: Mrs. Eugene W. Beach
Eligibility: Nursing or respiratory therapy student(s). Recipient must be a second-year student who demonstrates an above average clinical and academic performance and a high degree of personal and professional integrity.
 
Hallie H. Billmire Scholarship

William J. and Hildreth C. Braunlich Scholarship
Donor: The Braunlich Family and Friends
Eligibility: St. Mary Catholic Central High School (Monroe, Michigan) graduate. Applicant will demonstrate academic achievement, involvement in student activities and community service. Financial need may be considered. The recipient will be selected by St. Mary Catholic Central staff in accordance with the donor restrictions and intent.
 
Sonya Kay Brett Business and Computer Information Systems Endowed Memorial Scholarship
Donor: Donna J. Brett and the estate of Sonya K. Brett
Eligibility: Full-time (at least 12 credit hours per semester) students enrolled in either a Business or Computer Information Systems program. Applicants must have completed 24 credit hours or more to be eligible to apply and have a minimum 2.8 GPA. Applicant must be a Monroe County, Michigan resident and United States citizens.

Sonya Kay Brett Memorial Endowed Nursing Scholarship
Donor:  Donna J. Brett and the estate of Sonya K. Brett 
Eligibility: Second-year students enrolled in the Registered Nursing Program. Students must be Monroe County, Michigan residents and United States citizens. Recipient must maintain at least three-quarter-time (9 credit hours per semester) enrollment at MCCC during their scholarship year.
 
Elizabeth and Samuel Campbell Memorial Scholarship

Mary Mosingo Cobb Memorial Scholarship
Donor:  Jerry Mosingo Family and Anthony Cobb Family
Eligibility:  Student(s) applying must be enrolled in the Early Childhood Education Program, at least part-time enrollment (6 contact hours per semester), have a 3.0 GPA, a resident of Monroe County, and expressed interest in and be currently involved in community service. Recipient is strongly encouraged to continue to provide community service with the organization(s) of their choice during the scholarship year.
 
Joyce Hoagland Eby Scholarship
Donor: Ralph H. Eby
Eligibility: Student(s) with financial need and academic excellence. Applicant may be enrolled in either a credit transfer or occupation program of study. Recipient must maintain three-quarter time enrollment (9 credit hours) per semester and have and maintain a 2.5 GPA.
 
Education Plus Credit Union Scholarship
Donor:  Education Plus Credit Union
Eligibility: Education Plus Credit Union member who is also a graduate of a Monroe County high school, a Monroe County resident and a United States citizen. Applicant must have a 2.8 GPA or higher and demonstrate continuing academic achievement of a 2.8 GPA or higher during the scholarship year. The student applicant must be enrolled at least part-time (6 credit hours or more per semester) in a transfer program planning to pursue a degree in the field of education or pre-education. Financial need may be considered.
 
FEDCO Scholarship
Donor:  Fluid Equipment Development Company (FEDCO)
Eligibility: Students enrolled in one of the following programs: Industrial Management Technology, Mechanical Design Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or Product and Process Technology. Preference will be given to a Jefferson High School graduate who is a Monroe County, Michigan resident. Applicant must have a 2.5 GPA or higher and maintain two-thirds (8 billable contact hours) enrollment at MCCC during their scholarship year. Applicant must have financial need.

Former Bedford Rotarians and Friends Scholarship
Donor: Members and Friends
Eligibility: Current year graduate of Bedford High School in Temperance, Michigan and first year student at MCCC. The applicant must enroll full-time and must have a 2.5 GPA or higher both when applying and during their scholarship year. The recipient must agree to provide a minimum of twenty (20) community or public service hours to the organization of their choice. Recipient must have demonstrated financial need. Applicants must submit a one-page essay outlining their career goals, including any plans they have for public service. The essay should also address why the applicant feels that community and public service are important.
 
Guire Scholarship Fund

Eligibility: MCCC students majoring in math or science.
 
Richard H. Hicks and Bernice Hicks Nursing Education Scholarship Fund

Eligibility: Students enrolled in the Registered Nursing Program. Preference will be given to applicants who either are veterans or have immediate family members who are veterans.
 
Dr. Gerald L. Howe Scholarship
Donor: Dr. Gerald L. Howe
Eligibility: Full-time (12 credit hours per semester) student enrolled in a health related curriculum (e.g., nursing, pre-med, pre-dentistry, x-ray technician, pre-physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pre-pharmacology, pre-lab technician, etc.) Recipients must have graduated in the top 25 percent of their high school graduating class or been ranked in the top 25 percent of the class at the time of application. Students must demonstrate community/school involvement.
 
Philip J. Iott Memorial Scholarship
Donor: Pennie M. Iott, Family and Friends
Eligibility: Student who is or has been a participant in the Balanced and Restorative Justice (BARJ) system or a student who has participated in the MCCC Upward Bound Program and at the time of graduation was in good standing with the program and/or have attended the Monroe County Learning Bank Network. Preference may be given to an applicant who has lived in the Monroe County Youth Center. Recipients must maintain at least part-time enrollment (6 credit hours) at MCCC during the fall and winter semesters.
 
Gwendolyn M. Jacob Memorial Scholarship
Donor:  C.S. and Marion F. McIntyre Foundation
Eligibility: Full-time (at least 12 credit hours per semester) student enrolled in a transfer program. Recipient must be a graduate of Monroe High School, Monroe, Michigan. Preference will be given to a student who has also attended (a minimum of one year) Lincoln Elementary School in Monroe, Michigan. Recipient must demonstrate continuing academic achievement of at least a 2.5 GPA.
 
Karen Karau-Collins Memorial Scholarship

Eligibility: Part-time student enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credit hours per semester majoring in computer science at MCCC. Recipient must maintain a GPA of 3.0 or better
 
Thomas K. and Marie (Cousineau) Keegan Memorial Scholarship
Donor: The Keegan Family and Friends
Eligibility: Full-time (12 credit hours per semester) student with expressed interest in and currently involved in community service. Preference given to St. Mary Catholic Central High School senior or a non-traditional student who has not earned a college degree (associate degree, bachelor's degree, master's degree, and/or doctorate.) Preference given to a student with no other scholarship. Students applying must have a minimum 3.2 GPA and maintain a GPA of 3.0 during the scholarship year. Applicants must be a resident of Monroe County, Michigan and a United States citizen. Applicants/recipients may not be pursuing a degree in Nuclear Engineering Technology (NUET). 
 
Mary L. and Edward P. Kehoe Scholarship

Eligibility: Student enrolled a minimum of six (6) credit hours per semester and who is working thirty (30) hours per week or more in addition to attending college or who have successfully completed a home school program.

Eligibility: Student enrolled a minimum of twelve (12) credit hours per semester. Applicant must be a resident of Monroe County, Michigan. Applicant must have financial need.

Kirwen and Karau Scholarship
Donor: Nancy D. Kirwen and Jane Karau
Eligibility: Student enrolled in a transfer program attending a minimum of twelve (12) billable contact hours per semester at MCCC. Recipient must be a graduate of a Monroe County, Michigan high school. Applicant must demonstrate high academic achievement by submitting a letter of recommendation from a high school teacher or counselor speaking to their academic achievement and promise. Recipient must be a Monroe County, Michigan resident and a United States citizen. Preference will be given to a female student
   
M. Carol Kish Culinary Scholarship
Donor: Monroe County Community College Library Staff and Friends
Eligibility: Student enrolled in the Culinary Skills student who has completed 24 credit hours toward their culinary degree by the beginning of the fall semester when the award is to be used. Students applying must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher and must be enrolled at least part-time (6 credit hours per semester) during their award year.
 
Susan L. Lingar "A.G" Memorial Scholarship
Donor: The Lingar Family and Friends 
Eligibility: Part-time students pursuing a degree in the accounting field. Part-time is defined as six (6) credit hours per semester. Applicants must be a resident of Monroe County, Michigan and a graduate of a Monroe County high school or completed a GED. Applicant must be a United States citizen. Applicant must have a 3.0 high school GPA or demonstrate promise and GPA improvement during their junior and senior years of high school.

Irv Locketz Culinary Scholarship
Donor: Lynne S. Goodman
Eligibility: Students accepted into and enrolled in the Culinary Skills and Management Program (CSM). Recipient must be enrolled in a minimum of eight (8) CSM credit yours per semester (fall and winter).
 
C.S. & Marion F. McIntyre Memorial Scholarship
Donor: C.S. and Marion F. McIntyre Foundation
Eligibility: Full-time student enrolled in a minimum of twelve (12) credit hours per semester.  Applicant must be enrolled in a transfer curriculum. To continue to receive this scholarship, the recipient must demonstrate continuing academic achievement of at least a 2.5 GPA.
 
The David L. McIntyre Memorial Scholarship
Donor: C.S. and Marion F. McIntyre Foundation
Eligibility: Full-time student enrolled in a minimum of twelve (12) credit hours per semester. Applicant must be a graduate of Monroe High School, Monroe, Michigan. Applicant must be enrolled in a transfer curriculum. To continue to receive this scholarship, the recipient must demonstrate continuing academic achievement of at least a 2.5 GPA.
 
Ruthie Merritt Memorial Scholarship
Donor: The Merritt Family and Friends
Eligibility: Returning, single mother in the CIS, EOS or accounting program. Applicant must be a resident of Monroe County, Michigan. Applicant must have completed a minimum of ten (10) credit hours with a 2.5 GPA. Applicant must be enrolled in a minimum of four (4) credit hours per semester during the award year.
 
Midway Products - Lyman E. Hoyt Memorial Scholarship
Donor: Midway Products Group, Inc. Employees and Suppliers 
Eligibility: Students enrolled in one of the following programs at MCCC: Automotive Engineering Technology, Mechanical Design Technology, Welding Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or Manufacturing Technology. Recipients must maintain full-time enrolment at MCCC during their scholarship year. Full-time enrollment is defined as twelve (12) credit hours or more per semester. Recipient must be a resident of Monroe County, Michigan or a child of a Midway Products Group, Inc. employee. Applicant must have a 2.5 GPA or higher and maintain a 2.5 GPA or higher during their scholarship year. Financial need.
 
Pfc. Dennis J. Miller Jr. Memorial Scholarship
Donor: The Miller Family and Friends 
Eligibility: Student with demonstrated interest in history and intending to pursue further study in history. Preference will be given to a Monroe County, Michigan resident. Applicant must have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA and be enrolled in a minimum of nine (9) credit hours per semester. Recipient must enroll in at least one (1) history (HIST) course at MCCC during the scholarship year.

Monroe County Community College Alumni Association Scholarship
Donor: Monroe County Community College Alumni Association
Eligibility: Student nominated in writing by one MCCC Alumni Association member in good standing at the time of nomination. The applicant must maintain part-time (6 credit hours per semester) enrollment at MCCC during their scholarship year. An essay discussing why the applicant should be selected to receive this scholarship including their educational and professional goals and other information to help determine financial need must accompany application.
 
John and Violet Mueller Scholarship

Eligibility:  Graduate of Jefferson High School in Monroe, Michigan or Mason Senior High School in Erie, Michigan. Recipients must maintain part-time enrollment defined as six (6) credits hours or more per semester. Applicants must have a 2.5 GPA or higher and maintain a 2.5 GPA or higher during their scholarship year. Applicant must be a resident of Monroe County, Michigan and a United States citizen.
 
LaVerne B. Norton Scholarship

Eligibility: Student enrolled part-time, defined as six (6) credit hours or more per semester. Preference will be given to students who are a single-parent with custodial care of one or more children under the age of eighteen or students who were raised in a single-parent household. Preference will be given to Monroe County, Michigan residents. Selection will be based upon the recipient’s “academic promise”. Preference will be given to students who have faced adversity in their life and are pursuing their educational goals to create a better future for themselves and their families.

Eligibility: Full-time (at least 12 billable contact hours per semester) student who is a resident of Monroe County or Washtenaw County, Michigan and United States citizen. Applicant must be enrolled in a business-related transfer program to obtain a bachelor's degree in business. Preference will be given to an Ida High School, Ida, Michigan graduate. Applicant must have a 3.0 or higher GPA and financial need may be considered. Letter of recommendation from the high school counselor must accompany the application.

The applicant must have earned a minimum of 24 credit hours at MCCC and have a 2.5 or higher GPA. Applicant must be an active participant in a recognized College organization, helping to promote College ideals and improve campus life for other students. 

Kimberly Reaume Memorial Scholarship
Donor: MCCC Staff and Family and Friends
Eligibility: Student enrolled in the Registered Nursing Program at MCCC. Applicants must be a resident of Monroe County, Michigan and be enrolled part-time, defined as a minimum of six (6) contact hours per semester at MCCC. Applicant must have a 2.5 or higher GPA.
 
Drew Reeves Memorial Scholarship
Donor:  The Reeves Family, Friends and Colleagues 
Eligibility: Full-time student enrolled in the Automotive Engineering Technology Program. Full-time enrollment is defined as enrolled in twelve (12) or more credit hours per semester. The recipient of this scholarship will be the runner-up for the Instructional Scholarship. The applicant must have a 2.5 or higher GPA.
 
Milton G. Russell Memorial Scholarship
Donor:  Mrs. Doris Russell 
Eligibility: Student who has been a resident of Monroe County, Michigan for five or more years and is enrolled at MCCC a minimum of nine (9) credit hours per semester. Recipient will have financial need.
 
Marilyn Schroeder Memorial Scholarship
Donor:  Family and friends of Marilyn Schroeder
Eligibility: Second-year, full-time student, defined as enrolled in twelve (12) billable contact hours per semester. The applicant must have earned a minimum of 30 credit hours at MCCC and have a 2.8 or higher GPA. Applicant must be enrolled in a health occupation program (e.g., certified nurse aide, practical nursing, phlebotomy technician, or respiratory therapy) or a health-related science curriculum (e.g., biology, chiropractic, chemistry, dentistry, medicine, nursing, occupational therapy, optometry, pharmacy, physical therapy, or physics) at MCCC. Recipients must maintain active membership in a recognized College organization or activity during the scholarship year.   

Richard and Marjorie Sieb Scholarship
Donor:  Richard and Marjorie Sieb 
Eligibility: Part-time student returning to school after a period of other activity. Recipients must be residents of Monroe County, Michigan and a United States citizen. Part-time is defined as six (6) credit hours or more during the fall and winter semesters.
 
Joanne D. Smith Memorial Scholarship
Donor:  Mr. Herb Smith
Eligibility: Student(s) planning to transfer to a college or university to pursue a degree in music or a second year nursing student (preference is given to a music student).  Applicants must be enrolled full time a minimum of twelve (12) academic credit hours per semester. Music applicants must be a graduating high school senior with preference be given to an Ida High School, Ida, Michigan graduate. During the scholarship year, the recipient must be a member of the College/Community Symphony Band and/or the Agora Chorale. Music applicants must submit a letter of recommendation from their high school band and/or choir director. Recipient must be a resident of Monroe County, Michigan and a United States citizen.

Roy Turner Scholarship
Donor:  Julie and John Billmaier, Family and friends of Roy Turner
Eligibility: Monroe County, Michigan firefighter or the child or grandchild of a local (Monroe County) firefighter. Applicants must be a resident of Monroe County, Michigan and enrolled a minimum of twelve (12) credit hours per semester at MCCC. Applicant must have at least a 2.5 GPA.

Annual Scholarships

Altrusa International of Monroe Scholarship
Donor:  Altrusa International of Monroe
Eligibility:  Monroe County resident who has previous community service involvement and is seeking education in order to return to the workforce. Academic achievement is considered. Financial need will be considered in awarding this scholarship. 
 
American Legion Riders Scholarship
Donor:  American Legion Riders
Eligibility: Full-time student (enrolled in 12 or more credit hours per semester) who is a veteran or a child of a veteran. Veteran must have received an honorable discharge and submit a copy of their DD-214 to Financial Aid Office upon accepting the scholarship award. Applicant must be a Monroe County, Michigan resident. Financial need is considered.
 
Edward W. Banachowski Community Service Scholarship
Donor:  Dr. Grace B. Yackee and friends
Eligibility: Monroe County resident who has previous community service involvement.  Recipient is strongly encouraged to continue to provide community service to their organization(s) of choice during the scholarship year. Must be a full time (12 credit hours per semester) student and must demonstrate continuing academic achievement of a 2.5 GPA. Financial need is considered.
 
Giuseppe Chirco Vocational Scholarship
Donor: Trademark Building & Management
Eligibility: Provide support for Monroe or Wayne County, Michigan residents who plan to pursue a career in the construction trades.  Students applying must enroll in an occupational program of study that is related to the construction trades (i.e. carpentry, mechanical (HVAC), plumbing, electrical, etc.).  To receive this scholarship, the recipient must have and maintain at least a 3.0 GPA and must be enrolled at least part-time at MCCC.

Circolo Italiano Scholarship
Donor: Circolo Italiano Club
Eligibility: Scholarship for books to applicants who have a well-defined course of study.  Applicants must be a high school graduate and a Monroe County, Michigan resident and must have a workable knowledge of the Italian language and/or Italian culture. Financial need must be considered. Preference may be given to a student planning to pursue studies, training or research related to the Italian culture.
 
Saverio Costello Memorial Scholarship

Delta Kappa Gamma Society Scholarship

Eligibility: Student with financial need and enrolled a minimum of 6 credit hours per semester.

Noel H. and Elizabeth R. Dentner Scholarship
Donor:  Noel H. and Elizabeth R. Dentner
Eligibility: Scholarship for tuition and fees for full-time (at least 12 billable contact hours) students during Fall and Winter semesters.  Applicant must have a 2.75 or greater GPA, must submit a personal statement discussing educational and professional goals, and must be a Monroe County, Michigan resident.  Scholarship is renewable for a second year. Student will be nominated by a Summerfield High School counselor. If no nomination is made, the scholarship may be awarded to a graduate of a Monroe County public high school who meets all other requirements. Financial need may be considered.

Fallen Firefighters Scholarship
Donor: Monroe County Firefighters Association
Eligibility: Monroe County, Michigan firefighters and their dependents. Applicants must provide a letter from the Department Chief confirming they are a firefighter or dependent of a firefighter. Scholarship money can be used for credit courses or for the non-credit Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) program offered through the MCCC Office of Lifelong Learning.

Dave Hartzell Culinary Scholarship

Eligibility: Culinary Skills and Management Program students. Applicants must be a Monroe County, Michigan resident, a first- or second-year culinary major and will be awarded to a student who is not receiving multiple scholarships.

J.D. Hunter Annual Charter Scholarship
Donor: J.D. Hunter Associates, LLC
Eligibility: Student enrolled at least part-time (6 contact hours per semester) at MCCC.  Student must be able to demonstrate high moral character. 

Herb Kehrl Memorial Scholarship
Donor:  Family and Friends of Herb Kehrl 
Eligibility:  first or second year student, Monroe County, Michigan residents pursuing a degree in Political Science, History, or Education.  Applicant must be part-time enrolled (at least 6 credit hours per fall and winter semesters of scholarship year) and must submit a one-page essay that outlines their career goals in their major field of study. Preference may be given to Michigan State 56th district residents and public non-charter school graduates.
 
Terri McConnaughey Scholarship
Donor:  The McConnaughey Family and Friends 
Eligibility: Student who is part of the MCCC Writing Fellows or a staff member on The Agora. Applicant must be enrolled part time (6 credit hours per semester) and have a 3.0 or higher GPA. Recipient must be working part-time during their scholarship year. Part-time employment is defined as fifteen (15) hours per week. Preference will be given to a non-traditional student. Financial need is considered.

Miss Monroe County Scholarship Program Scholarship
Donor:  Traci Calkins 
Eligibility: Miss Monroe Scholarship Pageant Contestants using their MCCC Conditional Scholarship.  Recipients must be full-time (12 credit hours per fall and winter semesters) students at MCCC during their scholarship year.

MCCC Alumni Association Non-Credit Certificate Program Scholarship
Donor:  Monroe County Community College Alumni Association 
Eligibility: Student enrolled in one of the Lifelong Learning Certificate Programs offered through the MCCC Corporate and Community Services Office (on-line classes/programs do not qualify), high school graduate or have a GED, resident of Monroe County, Michigan, United States citizen, financial need is considered.  
 
Monroe County Community College Alumni Family Member Scholarship
Donor:  Monroe County Community College Alumni Association 
Eligibility: Full-time student (enrolled in 12 or more credit hours per semester) who is an immediate relative (child, step-child, or spouse) of an MCCC graduate. Special consideration will be given to relatives of MCCC Alumni Association member in good standing at time of application. Applicant must be a graduate of a Monroe County high school, a United States citizen and a Monroe County, Michigan resident. This must be the only scholarship used for tuition, fees and books at MCCC during current the academic year.
 
Monroe Exchange Club Scholarship

Eligibility: Graduate of any Monroe County, Michigan high school and a resident of Monroe County, Michigan, financial need, applicant must have a well-defined course of study and be enrolled full-time during their scholarship year with a minimum of twelve (12) billable contact hours per semester; additional consideration given to student participants of the Monroe Exchange Club Junior Exchange Program
 
JoAnn Naida Nursing Scholarship
Donor: JoAnn Naida
Eligibility: Second-year nursing students enrolled in the Registered Nursing Program at MCCC.  Applicant must be a Monroe County, Michigan resident and have a 3.3 GPA or higher.
 
Namaste Day Scholarship
Donor: Mind Body Balance, Mindful Movement, and Willow Tree Yoga
Eligibility: Part-time (6 billable contact hours per semester) student at MCCC who has an expressed interest in and strong history of community service.  Applicant must submit a one-page essay on why community service is important to them and recipient must agree to speak at the Namaste Day event at MCCC, addressing participants on the importance of community service.
 
NCSL International Scholarship
Donor: National Conference of Standards Laboratories (NCSL) 
Eligibility: Monroe County, Michigan residents who are enrolled at least three-quarter time (at least 9 credit hours per semester) and have a Metrology major ($1,000) or are enrolled in a selected metrology course ($100).  Applicant must have a 2.5 GPA or higher.  The $100 scholarships are awarded to the first 10 applicants who enroll in the targeted course and meet the criteria required by the scholarship.

NUET Scholarship

Eligibility: Second-year NUET student who has completed a minimum of 25 credit hours at MCCC. Applicants must have been selected for admission into the NUET program.  Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and be enrolled part-time (minimum of 6 credit hours per semester). Financial need is considered.
  
George Rhodes Scholarship
Donor:  Friends and Colleagues of George Rhodes
Eligibility: Student who has worked at least one semester in a tutoring program recognized by the Learning Assistance Lab (LAL) or an academic division at MCCC (SI, WF, tutoring) and must remain active in an MCCC tutoring program during the scholarship year. Recipient must be enrolled part-time (minimum of six (6) credit hours per semester) at MCCC. Recipient must demonstrate continuing academic achievement maintaining at least a 3.0 GPA during their scholarship year. Recipient must remain active in an MCCC tutoring program during the scholarship year.
 
Roof Family Foundation Scholarship

Eligibility: Full-time student enrolled in a minimum of twelve (12) billable contact hours per semester, or depending on course of study, full-time may be defined with fewer hours (e.g. nursing); resident of Monroe County, Michigan and a graduate of a Monroe County, Michigan high school with preference given to a Dundee Community Schools, Dundee, Michigan; United States citizen; minimum 2.8 GPA; preference given to student who was in the foster care system during high school; student planning to pursue a career in an occupational field but does not intend to continue studies at a four-year institution.

Eligibility: Scholarship for tuition, fees and books to a Monroe County, Michigan resident and US citizen.  Applicants must have a minimum 3.4 GPA.  Recipients must maintain full-time enrollment at MCCC during their scholarship year. Financial need will be considered.

Chad L. Stoner Medical Research Scholarship

Eligibility: Transfer student interested in pursuing a career in medical research. Student pursuing an associate of science degree with coursework emphasis in biological sciences, chemical sciences, or physical sciences. Student must have a minimum 3.2 GPA to apply and carry a 3.0 GPA or higher during the scholarship year. Student must be planning to transfer to a four-year college or university to earn a degree in a discipline area that prepares them for a career in medical research. Must be a full-time student defined at twelve (12) billable contact hours per semester with a minimum of 24 credit hours earned from MCCC prior to applying for scholarship. Applicant must submit a one page essay outlining why they are interested in medical research. Financial aid may be considered. Scholarship may not be used to re-take courses at MCCC. 
   
Student Government Aim & Achieve Scholarship

Eligibility: Active member(s) of MCCC Student Government for tuition, fees and books. Recipient must remain active during their scholarship year.  Applicant must have a minimum 2.0 GPA and must submit an essay on the role Student Government plays and how their involvement has affected their life.

Student Nurses Association Scholarship
Donor: MCCC Student Nurses Association
Eligibility: Nursing student enrolled in the Registered Nursing Program or Licensed Practical Nursing Certificate Program at MCCC. Must be an active member of the MCCC Student Nurses Association attending two monthly meetings and participating in one SNA sponsored event each fall and winter semester. Current SNA officers are not eligible to receive the scholarship. Applicant must have a 3.4 GPA or higher to be eligible for the scholarship. Applicant must submit a one page essay addressing what it means to be a member of the Student Nurses Association and what is believed should be done to enhance and make MCCC SNA a stronger and more vibrant chapter.
 
Sarah Augie (Petree) Tedrick Nursing Scholarship
Donor: Donald and Linda Petree
Eligibility: Second year nursing student enrolled in the Registered Nursing Program.  Applicants must be a US citizen, and submit a 500 word essay discussing cardiomyopathy. Preference may be given to a young, single parent.
